Because the Firm does not carry a heavy overhead, its hourly rates are significantly below market for attorneys of comparable reputation and experience. 

Legal work is billed by the hour, in increments of tenths of an hour.  Costs are billed without markup.  Itemized bills are submitted to clients monthly, and are payable upon receipt.  Retainers may be required, depending on the nature of the matter.  Flat-fee arrangements may be made and payments on account may be negotiated.

Ms. Cumare does not provide free consultations. 

New clients are required to pay for an hour-and-a-half of services at the beginning of a consultation; this amount is credited to their subsequent invoice.
